The Cleveland Browns 2010 schedule has been released, and it looks like they might be able to carry some momentum from the end of last year into this season.
The schedule starts with a trip to Tampa Bay and then a home game against Kansas City, which gives the talentless Browns a decent shot at starting 2-0 and giving their fans some false hope.
Reality quickly sets in with a trip to Baltimore, home games Cincinnati and Atlanta, and then visits to Pittsburgh and New Orleans.
The bye comes next and gives a brief respite, but things pick back up in a hurry when they welcome New England to town the following week. The hits just keep on coming, as the New York Jets come to Cleveland the next week.
The next several weeks provide a bit of a break, as the Browns have Miami and a bunch of chumps. The end of the year will be rough, with consecutive games against the Bengals, Ravens and Steelers.

If the Cleveland Browns are going to surpass the five victories they garnered in 2009, they’ll have to do it facing a robust schedule.
Dates of the games have not been announced yet by the National Football League, but the Browns know who they will play and where. And when it comes to games at home, the schedule is stout.
Cleveland plays host to playoff teams in half of its home games in 2010: the AFC champion New England Patriots, the AFC North champion Cincinnati Bengals, AFC runner-up the New York Jets, and AFC wild-card qualifier Baltimore.
Three of the other four home games are against teams who finished 2009 at .500 or better: Atlanta, Carolina and Pittsburgh.
On the road, the highlight will be a trip to New Orleans to face the Super Bowl champion Saints. Games against playoff teams Baltimore and Cincinnati also are on the slate. The other five road games are at Buffalo, Miami, Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh and Jacksonville. Only two of those teams finished with six wins or less last season.
Based on opponents’ winning percentage in 2009, the Browns are tied with Indianapolis for the 10th-toughest schedule in 2010.
